“There are equal chances for Muslim students to perform well in exam if they work hard. If you don’t work hard, then one should not complain. It is also a responsibility of parents to give best possible education to their children.”

SURAT (India)- Maulana Ghulam Mohammed Vastanvi urged Muslims to ensure the best possible education for their children. He was in the city to participate in the platinum jubilee celebrations of Surat District Muslim Education Society on Saturday.
The function was held at the Anglo Urdu School near Surat Municipal Corporation headquarters in Mugalsarai. Among various dignitaries and a large number school students, Vastanvi was the main attraction.
Students and parents in large number cheered Vastanvi as he stood up for his speech. Vastanvi said that India had the best examination system in world where there are no chances of partiality. “The answer sheet carries only a number, no name, because of which discrimination between any sections is not possible.”
He further said, “There are equal chances for Muslim students to perform well in exam if they work hard. If you don’t work hard, then one should not complain. It is also a responsibility of parents to give best possible education to their children.”
To set high goals, Vastanvi said, “A Muslim boy can also become IAS or IPS and can work anywhere in the country on key posts. For that parents need to spend more money on education of their children.”
Talking about new courses launched at Jamia Islamia Ishatul Uloom in Maharashtra, Vastanvi said, “We have started M Pharm from this academic year and got permission to start PhD. Currently, we got permission for eight seats of PhD but it is an achievement as students from the institute and outside will get to do research work.”-(IINA)
