The Automotive Industry: A Study of Indian Car Manufacturers from Tata to Mahindra, and More
The Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises,  Praful Patel informed the upper house of Indian Parliament  Rajya  Sabha today that,  according to the reports of Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the fuel-wise data (diesel, petrol, gas) of car production in the country is not centrally maintained, however, it is estimated that the diesel cars account for 20% of the market.  The details of production of cars during the last three years is as under:
