Five most popular Internet sites – RATING

Baku. Sevil Zeynalgizi – APA. Alexa statistics research showed that most popular websites among the Internet users are the search systems. 

The statistics company published the rating list of 500 popular websites in the global net, APA reports quoting the website of the Information Technologies Institutes of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Google is a leader among the five top popular websites. 

Facebook, the largest social network, is the second for its popularity with 44.43%, and YouTube video-hosting took third place with 30.56%. Yahoo and iGoogle are also among top 5. China’s Baidu search system, Wikipedia, Microsoft’s Live service, Twitter social network and China’s other popular site –QQ are in top 10. 

Google also prepared the rating list and didn’t include itself. Facebook is lading this list, YouTube is the second. According to the Google statistics, every month 800 million users visit 900 billion pages on Facebook and 800 million users – 100 billion pages on YouTube.
