Tashkent to Host International Gymnastics Tournaments

UzA, Iroda Umarova - The capital of Uzbekistan will host the stage of the World Cup and the Happy Caravan international tournament in rhythmic gymnastics on 3-8 September.

The world cup stage will gather 39 strongest gymnasts and 11 teams from 24 countries. Uzbekistan will be represented by Ulyana Trofimova, Jamila Rahmatova, Zamira Sanakulova, Olga Kiryakova, Zarina Kurbanova, Luiza Ganiyeva, Yayra Serjanova, Yekaterina Safronova and Feruza Aminova.

The upcoming event will be a qualifying stage to the world cup, which will be held on 17 September in France.

The Happy Caravan international tournament will be held among young gymnasts. From Uzbekistan, Maftuna Shamsiyeva, Valeriya Davydova, Maya Filippova and Anastasia Serdyukova will participate.

Another important event planned during that period is the session of the Executive Committee of the Asian Gymnastics Union, in which representatives of 17 countries will take part.
