NEW DELHI (NNN-UNI) -- The month-long Monsoon Session of Parliament will start on August 8 and and come to an end on September 7, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal announced today.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament, which usually starts in the last week of July, got delayed owing to the July 19 Presidential and the August 7 Vice-Presidential poll.
"After receiving instructions from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, I have written to the President to convene the Monsoon Session from August 8," Mr Bansal said.
The session will come to an end on September 7, he added. --NNN-UNI
