Easier to Do Business in Nepal than in India: Report

KATHMANDU (NNN-NEPALNEWS) -- Nepal has been ranked ahead of India in terms of ease of doing business in a World Bank report launched on Tuesday.

The report, titled Doing Business 2013, which ranks Nepal 102nd among 185 countries, places India in the 132nd place Singapore remained on top of the list for the seventh year in a row.

Compared with the report published by the agency last year, Nepal's ranking deteriorated on eight of the 10 parameters in 2013.

The parameters on which the country’s ranking slipped were starting business, dealing with construction permit, getting electricity, protecting investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contract and resolving insolvency. -- NNN-NEPALNEWS
