NEW DELHI--- The Congress led UPA candidate for Vice Presidential election Hamid Ansari has been re-elected as Vice President of India. He defeated the NDA candidate and veteran BJP leader Jaswant Singh by 252 votes. Ansari is second Vice President of India to hold two consecutive term of Vice President’s office, after Sarvpalli Radha Krishnan. Earlier S Radhakrishnan served the nation as Vice President for two terms from 1952 to 1962.
