Vice President Releases the Book ‘Ross Masaud’

a biography, written by Prof. Hakim Syed Zillur Rahman, in New Delhi on July 28, 2011. 

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Hamid Ansari released a book entitled “Ross Masaud” written by Prof. Hakim Syed Zillur Rehman at a function here today. Congratulating the author for such a valuable book Shri Ansari said that the book portrays very interesting aspects of the life of Sir Ross Masaud. Sir Masaud was a true academician and had served the Aligarh Muslim University in an ideal manner. He always believed in perfection.

The book is a biography of Sir Ross Masaud, an eminent educationist of the first half of 20th century and the grand-son of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, the founder of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He was one of the founders of Osmania University, Hyderabad and also served as Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University from 1929 to 1934. He had written many books and was the President of Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu (Hind) for 12 years. (PIB)
