NEW DELHI (RIA Novosti) - Five people were killed when a powerful bomb went off in a market in the Indian state of Manipur on Monday, police said.
The bomb exploded in the Sangakpam market in the capital, Imphal around 2 p.m., killing five people on the spot.
The Manipur government had tightened security in Imphal and other areas after a militant attack on Sunday. No one was injured in this attack.
