It has been recently decided by the Government to review the progress of implementation of the decisions taken as a follow-up action on the recommendations of Sachar Committee every six month by the Committee of Secretaries and the Cabinet as done in the case of the Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities.
Giving this information in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today, Shri Vincent H. Pala, Minister of State for Minority Affairs, informed the House about achievements of various Ministries implementing the decisions taken on the recommendations of Prime Minister’s High Level Committee on Social, Economic and Educational Status of the Muslim Community of India (Justice Rajindar Sachar Committee).
