INDIA: PM OPEN TO TALKS, ANNA ASKS HIM TO SEND REPRESENTATIVES

NEW DELHI (NNN-PTI) -- With PM Manmohan Singh maintaining that govt is open to dialogue, Anna Hazare today suggested that he should send his representatives for discussion on Jan Lokpal Bill. 

Kiran Bedi quoted Anna as saying, "Let govt come forward to discuss Jan Lokpal bill. Let the PM send his representatives". "(Talk of) any negotiations are rumours," Bedi tweeted. 

In another report titled “ NO SINGLE SOLUTION TO TACKLE PROBLEM OF CORRUPTION: PM,” PTI says: 

KOLKATA, India: With Team Anna stepping up heat on corruption issue, PM Manmohan Singh said govt was open to debate on the Lokpal Bill but made it clear that there was no single solution to tackle the problem. 

"We have made it clear that all concerned individuals should convey their concern on different aspects to their representatives in Parliament and to standing committee 

In a related report titled “ WE ARE OPEN TO A REASONED DEBATE ON LOKPAL: PM,” PTI says: 

KOLKATA, India: In a fresh bid to end the week-long standoff with Team Anna, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said Government is open to a "reasoned debate" on the Lokpal Bill and that the Parliamentary panel examining it can propose changes. 

Team Anna has been insisting that the Govt version of the Lokpal was weak, self-serving and would only encourage corruption.
