ISLAMABAD (NNN-APP) -- Pakistani Minister for Commerce, Makhdoom Amin Faheem is scheduled to leave for New Delhi on Sept 25 on 6-day official visit to India for discussing trade related issued between the two neighboring countries.
An official in the ministry of Commerce told APP here on Monday that the ministerial level bilateral trade talks are scheduled to start from Sept 26 to Oct 1 in New Delhi.
He said that this was a follow up of talks held between secretaries of the two countries at Islamabad and New Delhi respectively for the promotion of trade and business ties between the countries.
During his visit, minister to minister level talks would be held to resolve the concerns of business communities of both sides.
The tariff and non-tariff barriers are also likely to be discussed during the 6-day visit to enhance trade and business activities between the two countries.
He further said that ministerial level talks would discuss the amendments in the existing positive and negative items list and veto on EU concession by India would also be included in the agenda of the bilateral talks.
He said that business communities from all chambers commerce would participate in the conference to discuss all concerns they felt while handling the business activities between two countries.
The official further said that the arrangement responsibility of this event has been delegated to Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), because this was purely a business visit.
The delegation would be led by the Commerce Minister and some officials of TDAP and some officials of Ministry of Commerce would accompany him. -- NNN-APP
