HOLY MAKKAH, Saudi Arabia (NNN-KUNA) -- The Director General of Holy Mosque in Makkah and the grand Mosque in Madinah, Sheikh Saleh Al-Husayyen delivered on Friday the Kiswa, the black velvet covering of the holy Kaaba, to the Senior of the Sadana (Keepers) of the Holy shrine Affairs Sheikh Abdulqader Al-Shaibi.
The annual ceremony was held at this day in preparation for placing the Kiswa on Holy Kaaba on the Ninth Thu Al-Hijja on the Hijri calendar.
Al-Husayyen said in a statement that such occasion was great and cherished to many Muslims every year.
The Saudi official then gave a briefing on the history of such occasion and praised the contributing factory, including the Saudi government, for providing all necessary equipment to esnure good quality for such cherished site. -- NNN-KUNA
