WINDHOEK (NNN-ANGOP): The Angolan government continues to execute programmes to re-launch the farming sector, meant to improve food production, the Speaker of the National Assembly, António Paulo Kassoma, has announced, in Namibia.

He said so when visiting a dairy products factory that produces 35 million litres of milk, yoghurt, juice and mineral water, under his three-day official visit to the neighbouring country.

"I manifested the intention to visit this factory to hear from its representatives aspects linked to the breeding and treatment of cows and products manufacturing processes", said Kassoma.

A local source has told ANGOP that Angola is one of the main beneficiaries of the factory's products, with the import of 1.7 million litres of yoghurt, milk, juice and mineral water per year.

Kassoma, who is already in Luanda, also visited a diamond polishing factory in Windhoek. -NNN-ANGOP
