NEW DELHI (NNN-KUNA) -- As many as five persons, including four cops and a civilian, were killed and two other cops injured in India's north-eastern state of Meghalaya in a gunfight between security personnel and militants hiding on a hilltop, reported the country's English daily Hindustan Times' portal on Tuesday.
The gunfight took place at Nengpatchi area of 'East Garo Hills' district of the state.
Though no militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the ambush, it is suspected that it was the handiwork of militant outfit - "Garo National Liberation Army" (GNLA). -- NNN-KUNA
