Pakistan: NATO Raid Kills 8 Pakistani Troops

Pakistani officials say NATO helicopters have attacked a military checkpoint in northwest Pakistan, killing eight troops and wounding at least four others.

 

A Pakistani military spokesman said the attack early Saturday in the Mohmand tribal area near the Afghan border was "unprovoked and indiscriminate."

 

A NATO spokesman in Kabul says the international coalition is aware of an "incident" and is in the process of gathering information. ---VOA News
