Speaking at the golden jubilee celebrations of the Sindhi Youth Association (SYA) here last night, Hinduja said he discussed the issue with Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, who welcomed the idea.
"So we can start from Karnataka, the Sindhu cultural centre, and create similar models in other States so that through the Sindhu civilisation we can approach the whole world," the billionaire businessman said at the function, also attended by his brother Ashok P Hinduja.
Noting that Sindhis have prospered all over the world, he said, "Now, we have to see that how we can maintain our culture which is the oldest civilisation, Sindhu civilisation, as a good example for the world which can even solve the problems of the world".
"Sindhis are one of them (Sindhu civilisation), whereas the people of the world need a civilisation of Sindhu culture," Hinduja, Trustee of Hinduja Foundation, advocated.
Jews today control the "financials of the world" and people have forgotten Sindhis, who are "talented and intelligent people," said Hinduja, whose family-owned diversified conglomerate the Hinduja Group has interests in finance, energy, infrastructure, telecommunications and manufacturing services in different parts of the world.
"I reminded (Jews) that we are buying from them and selling to the Scottish and despite that, we are making profits," he said.
"It’s very difficult to find anybody in the world to buy from Jews and sell to Scottish and still make profits".
Noting that Sindhis don’t have any religion, he said they worship five elements. "If you promote that civilisation, you can imagine, we can solve the problems of the world, where religion creates new conflicts," Hinduja said. "When you worship five elements, you are above all religions". -NNN-PTI
