AMRITSAR, India (NNN-UNI) -- Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who paid obeisance at the Golden Temple here this morning, was shown black flags by anti-corruption crusader Anna's supporters when he came out of the Temple complex.
Some supporters of Hazare, who were waiting outside the Golden Temple complex, waved black flags and shouted slogan in support of the Jan Lokpal Bill as Dr Singh came out of the shrine.
The protesters were later dispersed by the security men.
Dr Singh, who arrived here last evening, reached the Golden Temple along with his wife Gursharan Kaur around 0615 hours this morning.
After paying their obeisance, the couple sat in the sanctum sanctorum and heard the Shabd Kirtan (holy hymns) for some time.
The Prime Minister was presented siropas (robe of honour) by head granthi Jasvinder Singh and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) general secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhaur.
He spent about an hour in the Golden temple premises. -- NNN-UNI
