PUNE, India (NNN-UNI) -- Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare was discharged from Sancheti hospital here this morning.
He was admitted in Sancheti Hospital on December 31 after he complained of chest congestion, backache and body weakness.
"My fight will continue," Hazare told media persons waiting outside the hospital before leaving for his village Ralegan Siddhi.
"The social activist has recovered now and our team has decided to discharge Hazare," said Doctor Parag Sancheti, Chairman of Sancheti hospital.
"We have now stopped intravenous medicine but he would continue to take antibiotic pills for a few more days. He would be called for a follow up after three weeks," Dr Sancheti said.
Hazare has been advised by his doctor to refrain from any kind of physical exertion, including fasting, for at least a month.
"Hazare can participate in any agitation after a month, but he has to take care of his diet," Dr Sancheti added.
All other parameters like blood pressure, blood glucose and white blood cell count are also normal, Dr Sancheti said. -- NNN-UNI
