India Pays Homage to Father of the Nation

NNN- Children dressed as Mahatma Gandhi arrive in a bus to take part in a peace march in Kolkata ahead of his 64th death anniversary Jan. 30, 2012. And in doing so, the children – 485 of them - from a home for the under-privileged, walked their way into Guinness World Record bid for the most people dressed as Mahatma Gandhi. The previous record was set in Tamil Nadu in 2010 when 225 school children dressed as Gandhi. Meanwhile, in New Delhi, President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh led the country in paying homage to the Father of the Nation.
