LUCKNOW, India (NNN-UNI) -- Central Parliamentary Board of Samajwadi Party today put the stamp on party president Mulayam Singh Yadav becoming the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for the fourth time in the state.

The Board, which met here this afternoon, took a decision in this regard electing Mr Yadav as the leader of the Legislature Party, SP national secretary Kiranmoy Nanda told UNI here.

Though, he said the formal announcement will be made in theSP Legislature Party meeting after Holi festival, some inner party sources indicated that Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav may put the crown his son Akhilesh Yadav's head.

Sources said though the board has already authorised Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav for the chief minister post, the decision to become the CM or pass on the baton to his son rested on him.

Besides Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav, the today's meeting was attended by general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav and Mr Nanda.

Senior party leader Mohd Azam Khan, who won the assembly elections from Rampur, is on the way to Lucknow while other senior leader Mohan Singh is in Delhi for treatment.--NNN-UNI
