Babu Veer Kunwar Singh fought his last battle on 23rd April, 1858. He was one of the great
leaders of India'n rebellion of 1857. On 23rd April, 1858, he completely routed the East
India
Company near Jagdishpur in Bihar. This brave son of the soil breathed his last on 24th
April,1858.
