DHAKA, Bangladesh (NNN-BSS) -- Visiting Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said New Delhi was firmly committed to implementing all agreements it signed with Bangladesh.
"Although it was late, these agreements will be materialised soon," a primer office spokesman quoted him as saying as the senior Indian minister called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad said Mukherjee told the premier that a sub-committee will be formed comprising experts of both the countries to study and analyse all things to remove confusions about the proposed cross-border Tipaimukh Dam.
"Everyone has legitimate share with regard to indifferent common rivers water and no country will be affected due to agreement. All countries will get due share of water," Mukherjee said.
Pranab arrived Dhaka last evening on a two-day tour to join the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of poet Rabindranath Tagore. --NNN-BSS
