NEW DELHI (NNN-UNI) -- Veteran social activist Anna Hazare today entered the fourth day of his indefinite fast for a strong Jan Lokpal at Jantar Mantar here.
Team Anna members Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai have been fasting since July 25.
The team has demanded a probe against 14 Cabinet ministers including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh against whom it has made corruption charges.
Mr Hazare and his team members have also been demanding setting up of fast track courts to try criminal cases against MPs within six months and a SIT to look into allegations against some of the chiefs of political parties.
Yesterday, Hazare tendered an apology to media for the scuffle at Jantar Mantar and threatened his supporters to stop his anti-corruption agitation if people continued to misbehave with the scribes.
A scuffle broke out between Team Anna supporters and Media-persons on Monday night when the protestors alleged that the media was not projecting their movement in the right light.
The Broadcast Editors' Association (BEA) had condemned the incident and demanded an apology from Team Anna.
"I am pained by what happened yesterday night. Our protest is purely non-violent. There is lot of power in non-violence and if you get involved in violence, it will give the government a chance to divide us," the 75-year-old Hazare told the gathering at the fast venue yesterday.
Hazare said if such incidents occur again in future, he will call off this agitation.--NNN-UNI
