NNN--- San Pedro de la Roca Castle, Santiago de Cuba, is a 17th century fortress which is considered the best preserved and most complete example of Spanish-American military architecture, about 6 miles (10 km) southwest of the city centre. These significant places are in UNESCO World Heritage List. With the high tourist season opening in Cuba, visitors are unlikely to give these places of historical interest a skip. More than one million visitors are expected to converge at the central Varadero Tourist Center, following an intense international campaign promoting the island as a tourist destination for vacationers in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Cuba earned over 1.7 billion dollars in terms of different tourist offers, a figure well over the previous year, according to the National Statistics and Information Office. From January to September this year, the island received two million 170 thousand 067 visitors, which stands for a 5.1 increase with respect to same period of 2011. Photo courtesy wikipedia---NNN
