History of the fasts of Anna Hazare: Will he succeed this time?NEW DELHI (NNN-PTI) -- Govt and opposition appeared to be on same page in Lok Sabha (Lower House) during the debate on Lokpal issue with both sides emphasising that Anna Hazare should end his fast. 

A discussion saw the two sides moving closer to consensus on three sticky issues of including the lower bureaucracy, appointing Lokayuktas in states and having a Citizens' Charter.

ANNA HAZARE'S FAST ENTERS 12TH DAY; DOCTORS WORRIED 

As Anna Hazare''s fast spilled over to the 12th day, doctors today raised concerns over his health saying they are more worried as the Gandhian''s blood pressure has dipped while heart beat has increased. 

More doctors have been stationed at Ramlila Maidan to keep a watch on the health of the 74-year-old Gandhian. 

ANNA TO CONTINUE PROTEST FOR STRONG ANTI-CORRUPTION LAW 

Ahead of the debate on Lokpal issue in Parliament, fasting Anna Hazare today broke his silence of nearly 38 hours and addressed his supporters declaring that he will continue his protest till his last breath for a strong anti-corruption law. 

ANOTHER ROUND OF TALKS BETWEEN TEAM ANNA, GOVT 

Team Anna and government held another round of talks here today to end the deadlock over the Lokpal Bill ahead of the debate on the issue in Parliament. 

Team Anna members Prashant Bhushan and Medha Patkar met Law Minister Salman Khurshid here and discussed issues which the government could take up in Parliament during the debate. 

LOKPAL: GOVT WANTS PAR TO CONSIDER ANNA'S 3 DEMANDS 

Observing that the nation was at "cross-roads" in view of Anna Hazare's campaign, government today asked Parliament to consider the Gandhian's three key demands on Lokpal Bill within Constitutional framework and by preserving Parliament's supremacy. 

PM HOPES IMPASSE OVER LOKPAL BILL WILL END SOON 

PM Manmohan Singh hoped that impasse over Lokpal issue would end soon.Ahead of the debate in Parlliament, PM said he hoped to write to Anna Hazare again. 

HAZARE ASKS PEOPLE NOT TO ELECT USELESS LAWMAKERS 

As Parliament initiated a discussion on his three demands on Lokpal Bill, Anna Hazare today trained his guns at MPs saying that around 150 of them were facing criminal charges and people should not elect "useless" lawmakers next time. 

'STOP GIVING BRIBES, TAKE PLEDGE AGAINST CORRUPTION' 

 Defence Minister A K Antony today called upon the people to take an anti-corruption pledge and desist from bribing officials to get their work done. --NNN-PTI
