Electoral Politics in Indian States: Lok Sabha Elections in 2004 and BeyondNEW DELHI (NNN-PTI) -- Anna Hazare's major demand is set to be met with the government today deciding to have a discussion in the Lok Sabha (Lower House) tomorrow (Aug 26) on the Jan Lokpal Bill.

In earlier report titled “PM ASKS ANNA TO ADOPT MORE RATIONAL APPROACH ON LOKPAL” PTI says:
Asking Anna Hazare to adopt more rational approach with regard to his demand for a strong Lokpal, PM Manmohan Singh today made it clear Parliamentary democracy cannot be undermined.

Singh asserted that it is only after "due deliberation" that a law can be passed that not only meets the aspirations of the people but is also "practical and effective".

In another related report titled “WE ARE OPEN TO FURTHER TALKS: GOVERNMENT TO TEAM ANNA” PTI says:
A day after talks between government and Team Anna ended in a deadlock on resolving key issues, Law Minister Salman Khurshid today said it is "concerned" about Hazare's health and the door was open for further discussion. -- NNN-PTI
